Synopsis: The peace has been enjoyable for Lauren, now that the Torpeddo escapade is behind her. No more running and ducking, no more extreme homelessness, and sadly no more Taylor as he was taken away. She grins and bears it, trying to stay positive, making the most of what the city has to offer, and helping Ms. Tremble with various library duties. She has no complaints, and no regrets, she sits and waits like an eagle, waiting for the next gust of wind to take her heart to higher peaks.

Meanwhile, the FBI has been poring over her application clipped with a recommendation from a seasoned Special Agent. Stuck at a crossroads, they decide to vigorously test her hoping she’d fail, in turn avoiding a tough decision. This course of action proves fruitless, so they decide to meet with her in person, and it is only then that the Director sees for himself who Lauren truly is and immediately sends her to the academy.

The uphill battle begins straightway, a grueling process to say the least, especially since one of the instructors has it out for Lauren from the start. And sadly, during the combat course, she gets booted and is shipped home to lick her wounds, laying in a pile of defeat.

But the call for justice in her heart does not relent, and so she begins to seek out a mentor of sorts that can teach her how to fight. And through a stroke of providence, she finds a beautiful Japanese woman willing to instruct her who strangely interwove her fighting style with the art of ballet.

One year later, she returns to the academy, and it is a different story, so much so that immediately upon graduating, she is thrust into her first case. And the once invisible pauper who survived on street smarts now shines brightly being adorned with outstanding credentials.
